Not Your Mama’s Empanadas

Almost every morning I stop here for breakfast, after dropping my wife at work.(whenever my wife doesn’t cook breakfast). Their “Bulldog” breakfast burrito (sausage, ham, bacon, egg, & cheese), is super filling, tasty, & reasonably priced. My wife didn’t cook, so guess where I’m headed? 😬

So they did a booth at Chattahoochee river tubing and I fell in love! 1st bite was something I never had before and ofc I had to go back for seconds! I wish i took a picture because that empanada was BUSSIN!

Alright, first thing. Yes, it's inside the gas station. And not an especially nice gas station. Ignore that.

These empanadas are FANTASTIC! The two people working there could not have been nicer. I got two chicken empanadas, two beef empanadas, two guava empanadas and a side of rice and beans for my wife and I for lunch. The empanadas were perfectly fried, crispy, not greasy. The crust was flaky and rich. The fillings were well seasoned and played perfectly with the richness of the crust. The rice and beans were also very very good, the rice was fluffy and light. The beans were tender and flavorful.

This is the very definition of a hidden gem. Don't be intimidated by the outside. Go try these empanadas!
