If you are looking for a Halal and gluten-free Thai place, then this is the place to try. Great taste and atmosphere. We tried their basil fried rice, a noodle dish, and a curry. Prices are comparatively higher when it comes to the location and ambiance. It's a casual place to have Thai food. The restaurant is neat and clean, and the staff is nice and polite.
Very friendly staff! Decent amount food options. Price is reasonable, however, we feels the portion of the food could be a bit more generous. They all tasted very good. Food service pace was a bit of slow, but not too bad. The mango come with the Mango Sticky Rice was a bit on the sour side, wish it is more on the sweet side.
Overall, we had a great experience and will recommend this place!
Wimal is a wonderful new addition to the East Cobb food scene. The restaurant is small, and does a brisk in-house and takeout business. The food is made to order with super fresh seasonal ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive. Also nice about Wimal, their menu features some items that aren’t generally found on other local Thai restaurant menus. We appreciated that we could choose our spice level and they nailed it perfectly. We’re looking forward to a return visit.
This was our first visit to this relatively new establishment. Service was good, friendly and prompt. Food was quite good, served in a timely fashion and order. The only aspect that could be improved upon is the seating comfort as the chairs are not made for lingering.
They appear to do a good measure of take-out as well, with about 8-10 people coming in for pick-up in the thirty minutes while we were there eating.
Ventures to Marietta and may have found the best tasting Thai food we’ve ever had, according to our palette. Everything was so tasty that the “lowest ranked” dish today was still oh so tasty, corn fritter 🤤. The best dish was the meaty and tender beef from the nom tok beef. Chicken Pad Thai was moist and so flavorful, it was a toss up between the pad Thai or drunken noodle as the noodle winner. Both were nothing we’ve had prior at other places. We opted for the medium spicy Lao papaya salad which tasted fresh and refreshing without the typical expected pungency of the fermented crab nor fish sauce. Childhood fried rice with plump shrimp was recommended and was delicious and I could eat this daily. Crispy rice salad wasn’t on main menu but being considered to be added and hope they do. We haven’t had mayo sticky rice in awhile and this closed out the meal perfectly. Mango is a guessing game but this came out sweet with enough tartness that suited the sweet sauce on the sticky rice very well, great balance. Sauce wasn’t as sweet as others we’ve had prior too.
Spoke with the owner and found out that her Thai husband is culinary trained chef in Thailand and has worked at a Michelin stared restaurant before. We wanted to know the authenticity of the flavor since these dishes weren’t like any Thai food we’ve had. Definitely coming trekking back to try the curry and other dishes on the picture filled menu.
How could I have forgotten about the Thai iced tea? Not overly sweet but enough to still let you taste those notes of black tea, honey and vanilla. Bought extra one to take home with the rest of the leftovers.
