Under new management. Clean. Uncluttered. No smoking. Good food, especially breakfast. Good prices. Pleasant friendly efficient service.

Recently reopened under new, local ownership, Vittles is freshly-painted bright, clean and welcoming. Our young server had a warm, delightful personality, but needs to be more aware of what comes out of the kitchen. The "toast" was mostly warm bread -- barely toasted. Requested "crispy" bacon was soft and fatty looking. The "over hard" eggs were closer to medium. The requested well-cooked "close to burned" hashbrowns arrived pale white, etc. As it turned out, the requests weren't noted on the check, so the kitchen probably didn't know. The check also failed to list prices those in our group were to pay, so all of that had to be determined by the cashier searching through a menu. Over all, the food was tasty, the prices are honest and we will definitely give them another try. We're glad Vittles is back and are chalking up today's experience as mere growing pains.

This is what Vittles should have been like from day 1. Clean, uncluttered, bright and easy to move around in. No more fighting for table space with junk for sale everywhere. No more smoke or foul odors from something stuck in a wall either. I didn't really miss the old Vittles but I'm sure glad it's back. Much better! Biscuits are AWESOME.

Love this place! Service is always amazing. The menu is definitely southern comfort foods at their best and they are the only place I've found that does cabbage correctly. If you're in town on a short trip, you can also take advantage of the shop that co-exists in the restaurant.
