Charros Express Mex

Fresh, fast, phenomenal. Great service, great food. My new favorite Mexican restaurant. I got the street tacos, beef dip, n my husband got something huge (can't remember), n it was all absolutely delicious. It was so good I ate everything even after I was full. We took a 3 hour nap after. Lol! Great job feeding us, Charros! It's been a long time since we have had great food in Augusta!

Absolutely delicious! Best Mexican food in all of Augusta! Great flavor, large portions, friendly and attentive staff. The owner stopped by and made sure everything was good. He was so friendly, and mentioned they’ve got their liquor license coming in early 2021, so YES margaritas! The atmosphere was great, I enjoyed my table outside in the breeze, and my food came fast. Please please please try this place out! I live 40 minutes away but I would still make the drive as this place is the best!!

Amazing food! Hands down best restaurant around. The execution was beautiful. The chicken was so tender and the taste was wonderful. I never leave reviews but this place was 100% worth it.

I recently started going to Charros Express Mex (Where Twisted Burrito used to be) and it has been hands down the BEST Mexican cuisine Ive had in the area. The service is amazing and so quick! They are so sweet. I haven't tasted such flavorful Mexican food since I was in Mexico itself. They have unique dishes and fan favorites everyone loves! You should try it! You wont disapoint. They have a drive through too where you can place an order and I have always gotten my food in under 10 minutes!

From the name, I was expecting fast food or fast casual. There would have been nothing wrong with that but I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a full service, sit down restaurant with an extensive menu and is now my favorite Mexican in town. I ordered Enchiladas Verdes from the lunch menu. The presentation was very appetizing with a more than usual garnishment of herbs and vegetables. The meat was very clean. I'm very sensitive to fat, gristle and ligament. I found none of that here. And the real reason we eat Mexican food, the salsa, tasted homemade with lots of ingredients well proportioned.
Edit: Second visit, ordered pork. Too much fat for me but still very good. Companion ordered ground beef taco salad. She enjoyed it but the bottom of the shell was soggy with grease. Still better than most but I hope quality control details will improve.
