Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q

Got the 1/4 chicken plate. Good smoke flavor, chicken tender. Cole slaw very fresh, light dressing.
Atmosphere very casual.
No gluten free sauce options. Portions disappointing.

Best bar-b-q I have ever tasted, aside from my own. Miss Jewell's food actually tastes homemade. We rarely eat out because we are so often disappointed in the flavor compared to what we are used to at home but Willie Jewell's really made us feel at home. They only have plastic forks so when we return we will be bringing our own silverware. Terrific place to eat and convenient location. We were served quickly by a cheerful staff.

I ordered the 2 meat combo with a side of Brunswick stew and potato salad. I picked the brisket and the ribs. The brisket had some fat in it and was very tender. It's well seasoned. The ribs tasted decent and was tender as well. The Brunswick stew got a kick to it and it was filled with ingredient. The potato was above average. The toast was slightly toasted. It could use some more toasting and with more butter on it while toasting. However, they toasted it first and brushed the butter on it after.

First time customer today. The girls up front were super helpful and very friendly! The food was even better. Brisket and Ribs were excellent, by FAR the best hush puppies in town, and the Mac n cheese was great. The sauce tho? Their hot bbq sauce was the BOMB! Will be coming back soon with friends and family.
