My favorite BBQ place in Brookhaven/Druid Hills. Mac n cheese is to die for and all of their meat is delicious. We were sad to see the brisket philly fall off the menu, but everything else is so good we keep coming back. Great staff and awesome service.
Lively fun atmosphere. Great drinks. Meats were very good except for the sausage. It was dry. The beignets were amazing
Back in Atlanta, need barbecue. Atlanta has a lot of bad barbecue, which is strange because it's basically the Capitol of The South. Dixie Q does not fall into the category aforementioned. Chopped brisket = amazing, spare ribs = perfect, mac = holy smokes, Cajun slaw = so-so. Service was quick and kind.
I am giving a four star because the staff was friendly and the food was good. Definitely overpriced for BBQ. The beef ribs were good but too expensive. The wings were really good. I would recommend going for regular BBQ but not the price of beef ribs.
We went on a Friday night and were seated outside right away. There were a lot of kids, but they left by 8:00. It's a cute establishment with outdoor seating. We liked the brisket plate, pork sandwich, meat combo (with pork and wings). Everyone enjoyed their meals. The baked mac was really good, the Brussels sprouts were amazing, and the fries were pretty good. The brisket was just okay. Would not recommend the bread pudding--nothing special. For the area, it's pretty good BBQ, but for Atlanta, it's not the best. We'll be back though because it's convenient and has good food.
