I would highly recommend Lazy Betty for a special occasion or for any foodies/cuisine connoisseurs. We did the chef's tasting and had a multitude of dishes that were very carefully crafted. You can watch the precision of the kitchen staff preparing each plate while you wait between courses. Each course was an adventure as they combined ingredients that I wouldn't have thought go together, but they worked so well. The courses became more sophisticated as the evening went along. I would recommend the wine pairing option as well. The pairings are spot on, and portions are generous enough. Each dish and wine pairing was explained in detail, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Note: it can be pricey and you're not going to come out stuffed or over full, as it is about the experience. But you will come out satisfied.

Lazy Betty is an amazing addition to the Atlanta culinary scene! Each dish was a visual work of art and so deliciously prepared. The seven course menu was well-balanced. So many flavor and texture combinations. It's well worth the price.

Overall, exquisite meal. We did the 10-course tasting, and every element - from flavor, to presentation, to technique- was creative and beautifully executed. The lamb and octopus were our favorites, but there was not a dish that was not delicious and thought-provoking.

I’m not sure if I would do the 10-course again. The portions are so small that nothing was really large enough to fully savor. The meal is also incredibly expensive, so come prepared to shell out!

Enjoyed the 10 course tasting. The staff, cocktails, and atmosphere were fantastic. The food was also very good. The challenge comes with the price. At $165 per person for the chef's tasting, the food needs to go beyond very good and be fantastic. The best meals I've had at this price point had emotional resonance, where the food was so amazing that it had an emotional impact. That wasn't quite the case here.

Besides the value question, the only other issue was on the pressure to upgrade. The pressure was low, but still unwelcome. During our meal there was the opportunity add wine pairing, caviar, and truffles. We decided to do cocktails and wine by the glass instead, and advised staff at the start of the meal we were not interested in upgrading. They were not pushy about it, but still followed up twice more at the various courses where upgrades were available to see if we wanted to upgrade. I suspect this is restaurant policy and not any fault with the staff. It felt a little like a cruise ship dining experience as a result. Again, not particularly pushy, but when you're dropping between $400-500 on a meal for two already, it feels a little off to be asked three separate times to upgrade.

As a result, while I truly enjoyed the meal, I couldn't justify coming back.

Perhaps the best tasting menu in North America, Lazy Betty is a superb experience. Each dish is a culinary delight made from the finest farm fresh ingredients. Portions are just the right size to allow you to enjoy the next dish and not be full. The wine pairing is well thought out and matches each dish with perfection. Nice mix of southern dishes with sophistication and skill. Well informed staff.
