Pros: Location, nice interior, friendly staff, decent food
Cons: Although the fried chicken tasted good it was pretty generic and wasn't upto my expectations. I expected it to be a southern style marinated/seasoned fried chicken.
They've mastered open and cozy at the same time. The natural light shows they out a lot of care into the reno. That fact is illustrated by their knowledgeable and super friendly staff.
Great service, staff are very friendly. Love their renovation, make the place modern and comfortable. Southern cuisine with some Jamaica mixture, it makes dishes very tasty. There is a big garden, you can take a nice walk after dining, if you choose summer night time, you can also enjoy the fireflies, water fountains and beautiful flowers.
Beautiful setting with a view of the gardens in the lower level of the Crown Plaza. Parking is free (they will validate your parking garage ticket for three hours). My husband said the red snapper was delicious, if a bit too well done. I tried an Impossible Burger (imitation beef) for the first time, and it was excellent! Great bun, too.
The server was very nice, but, oddly, never asked if we wanted something else to drink after bringing us water. Very likely just an oversight.
I'm sure the restaurant has no control over the a/c, but it was freezing in there. Being a jacket or sweater.
The views at this place are beautiful as you sit in what I liken as a greenhouse type of facility. The servers were very friendly. My lady and I had the shrimp n grits, catfish, and prime rib. The fish and rib were a little bland but the shrimp n grits was awesome. Paid about $70 for all that for those wondering what the prices are like.
