I found Sabores De Mi Tierra when I was in Atlanta for a professional school. While my classmates opted for fast food for lunch every day, I looked for something more healthy and more interesting, and I found it here. The staff was universally as welcoming and friendly as if I were a guest in their home, and the food was phenomenal. I had the special of the day each time, and when I asked them to just leave the rice off, since I avoid grains, they offered to replace it with avocado slices instead. How awesome! For less than my classmates spent on fast food, I was served these generous plates of meat and fresh sides deliciously prepared in recipes that were new to me. The jalapeno cream sauce on the chicken was my favorite!! Sabores De Mi Tierra has a simple little cafe type dining room, but it is a worthwhile destination: full service, quick enough to get in and out on a lunch hour, DELICIOUS, and the friendliest staff and owners who were all so pleased to have me there and so proud of their restaurant. I'll absolutely eat with them again the next time I'm out for lunch in Atlanta.
I always order to go and my husband normally orders for me because I don’t speak a lot of Spanish. I called tonight and asked if anyone spoke English and Maria was super super nice. There is alway a tall gentleman that works there I don’t know his name, he’s usually running the bar area. He is super nice as well. I love this location. The first time I ever tried it they burnt the food but once my husband complained they were so nice to replace the meal. Especially since that was my first time trying this restaurant. I really appreciate the good customer service. Thank you so very much.
Authentic. Friendly. Delicious.
I've stopped by here several times for lunch.
It's like a scene from My Big Fat Cuban Wedding. Old guys walk around and make sure that you're happy. Young folks hustle to get your stuff. Old guys check back to make sure it works. And it really does.
I had the roasted pork (lechon de peurco) with yellow rice and yucca fries this time. It's a generous portion for a little under $20. The meat is hot, tender and savory. The yucca fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
The place buzzes with a happy hustle. It's simple decor with a bar. Seems like I'm the only one speaking English which appears to make it more fun for them. You should give this a shot.
My family had dinner there for the first time. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. He also made recommendations which were very good. The food was hot and delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned and the accompanying sauce has the right mix of heat and flavor. I also had Tonia beer for the first time which is very crisp and smooth. Their prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed.
Food is great but is very pricey
With no lunch specials
dishes $18 and up
I just got a sandwich for $11
Another thing I was 12:30 pm it should be lunch special like you said and is Thursday thanks
