Awesome Char Kwai Tieu in a hidden location. They also have WiFi and a few seats so if you don't have to take it to-go
I came here yesterday after going to a science center, we were looking for food to eat. They were going to close at 5pm, however, we ended calling and ordering ahead of time and we asked if we could still eat even when they would close, they said yes. As soon as we get there, perhaps 2-4 minutes pass, we get our food. It was really cold in there, which I wasn’t a fan of because I was wearing a shorts and a thin shirt, but I understood because in Indonesia it’s hot and also because it’s summer here.
I got the Nasi Padang, my step dad got the meatball soup (I think Batso soup), my mom ate a soup and got grilled fish, and my sister got Ay Goreng dan Nasi. However, this place puts chili with everything, loads it up so my sister couldn’t eat it because of her spice. If you have a bad acid reflux or have a low spice tolerance, I’d come and ask for no spice. You also get huge portions of food. It’s a very small place, as well but they have a small shopping area, in which I bought some goods. I had to wash my hands as well, employees let me wash my hands with their kitchen sink.
Overall, they’re very great! Plus my mom could communicate with them. It’s a hidden Indonesian place, and I wish more people could see it. I love this, 10/10 would recommend. (No pics sorry!)
Amazing food! And run by such a friendly and generous individual! Nice hidden gem for Indonesian food. Tucked away in more of a commercial business area, the prices were good and the portions were quite large and delicious.
Amazing halal food and service. The owners of the restaurant treat you with the “my house is your house” tradition.
I can’t understand the menu but the lady who was there was super nice, food was delicious and I got to speak to the owner on the phone. 10/10 would recommend.
