This is a very clean restaurant. So far everything we have had has been excellent! Even the lunch portions are very generous, tasty and well prepared. If you like Mexican food, Casa Jalisco is about the best in Douglasville!
Between the street tacos and sandwiches, this place has different offerings than most mini mall Mexican places and the more typical offerings are also a little better than other places in dville. It became our go-to after the first time. Would recommend.
My family and I went there tonight for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. We had great customer service, our waitress was Maria (I believe!) She was so inviting and happy we were there. Food was great and good prices. We used to be Monterray fans... not anymore! This will be our new spot!
My family and I went last night. The only reason I’m giving a four star rating and not five is because of the lack of customer service. It was not busy and four workers. A greeter and three waiters/waitresses. We had to ask for a menu. Then ask for drinks which took a long time. Ask for chips and salsa which did not arrive until we asked again after we received our drinks. Two of our three meals arrived and we had to ask for utensils and napkins. Third plate arrived five minutes later. Still no utensils. He never came to check on us. Never refilled our drinks. Had to flag him down to get the check and a take out box. Again it was not busy. Three tables each with two people along with our table. Dinner took over 1 1/2 hours.
With that being said the atmosphere was nice. Well lit. Modern. Decorated tastefully and clean. Upscale establishment with higher prices. Huge portions were served and the food was delicious.
Service sucked.
We just ate there for the first time today. Having never eaten there before, I decided to play it safe and order the nachos supreme. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! Usually ground beef at a Mexican joint is pretty bland. Not the case at Casa Jalisco . The beef was well seasoned and very flavorful. Unlike any I've tried before. It had heat but not a lingering heat that burns your tongue. Just enough to add some flavor.
The nachos had been cooked in an oven with the meat and cheese so they were crunchy and hot. Topped with lots of lettuce and sour cream and very fresh, not mushy, tomato slices. Casa Jalisco has probably changed my perspective on nachos! ????
My wife ordered Juan's Special which was a combo of lemon pepper shrimp, cucumber and fresh avocado. It was amazing as well and she loved it.
All the food seemed really fresh. The place was super clean and the staff was great.
I hope to return soon. Great place. Highly recommended.
