The food here is absolutely phenomenal. Pricing is great. I have been meaning to stop by for a long time, and I'm so glad I did. Catfish and Chicken both tasted amazing, juicy, well seasoned. Loved the collard greens. Friendly staff, in a cozy - down home setting.

I was traveling from Georgia to Jackson ms and googled a restaurant near me. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately when I walked through the doors and also with a smile. We placed our orders and the food was AMAZING!!!!! Everything was amazing, the waiter was a very sweet young girl. If she could open a restaurant in Jackson I’d be broke all the time from spending all my money on food! Lol I was super pleased with the food. I will definitely be back

The food was soo delicious! I had the collard greens, yams and oxtails. Despite of my own previous disappointments with the quality of food. The quality of the food has improved dramatically. I would like to encourage everyone to try the new and improved April’s Place, you won’t be disappointed.

I just watched them on the food network an decided to look up their reviews. Some of you customers or locals have nothing better to do than to write reviews without stepping foot in this establishment!

That is unfair and you are tearing down a business without reason.

Okay, you watched them on the show and they use box cornbread mix. So what?!

Okay, you were in time of need and they were not able or willing to help. That’s their prerogative and they don’t owe you a thing!

Okay, you drive past their restaurant and never stop. Keep doing what you been doing and keep it pushing!

Folks get on my LAST NERVE!

The food was great, along with the quaint atmosphere and restaurant decorations. You order first then seat yourself. The restaurant is clean and orderly. Staff was very friendly. There are gluten free and vegan items on the menu as well. It's truly traditional soul food.
