I drive OTR and had loaded about 40 miles south of here. Was starving, so co driver and I stopped in for a bite. Let me say OUTSTANDING!!! Crab legs were cooked to perfection, crab cakes were delicious, oysters were good and fresh. Everyone was so nice, and our waitress was on the ball. Will stop again if ever back through here.
Them crab legs..... a must! They were cooked perfectly. Very good selection. Service was good.
Settle in, boys and girls, cause this reviews gonna be a long one! While roadtripping from Athens to Savannah, we assumed there would be lots of fine establishments along the way to eat. We were wrong—but we’re from up north and new to Georgia. We stumbled upon Oak Island Crab House because we were starving and it had a 4.4 Star rating (hoping to raise that rating with my review here). Wow—let’s start with the ambience. The mood lighting in Oak Island was absolutely dreamy! I also have never been to a restaurant bathroom with a lit candle and wax burner—that took things up a notch in my book! I’ll move onto the soup bar. The crab chowder was inspiring, exquisite, and superb. Now let’s talk about the hush puppies—ever feel like God is smacking you upside the head with some real goodness? Go try their hush puppies and you’ll no longer be a stranger to the feeling. I’m going to end this review on a real high note by mentioning the fried shrimp. The breading rivals Chick-fil-A breading—and we all know the Lord Jesus Christ himself hath blessed that place. If I could give Oak Island Crab House 10 Stars I would! Thank you for the lovely meal, we will return!
Great service. The food was luscious. Love the soup bar.
Great food, friendly staff. A bit pricey
