It’s interesting about people who write reviews about businesses, because their heart’s are not in the right place. The reviews where someone had an issue, they fail to mention actually talking with a staff member or managers about their “so-called” issues. They didn’t write about talking to a staff member to have their “so-called” issue solved by someone in the store is very interesting and concerning to me. They took the time to take pictures and write reviews about their issues, but didn’t take time to speak with a staff member. I found these reviews where people had issues are very disingenuous. Hate is very real in this world. Especially with successful “Black Owned” businesses.

This couple built a business that was inspired by their autistic son and they wanted to provide good, healthy and delicious food for everyone. This store is a huge win for the “Black Community” because they were able to accomplish “History”. The first black owned autonomous grocery in the world is a huge accomplishment and the “Black Community” is proud of this couple. They’re inspiring young black children to get interested in health and technology and that deserves some respect.

The food is delicious especially the breakfast sandwiches. They use NY bagels which gives you that NY bodega feel. I’ve had their chicken and salmon rice bowls before and it’s really good. They serve tacos and burgers too. I’m a simple person when it comes to food. But they hit the mark on taste. Also, their customer is great. Once, I waited a long time to get my meal and the staff apologized and wanted to refund the meal. I told them it’s okay, but I gave them positive feedback to work on that, because other people are not so forgiving.

But overall, it’s been a great experience and I hope others will enjoy their time as well.

I loved the eclectic style of this market. As my momma would say, there were lots of local items and things you didn’t know you needed or wanted; from handmade organic soaps, local honey, Old Bay seasoning 😀 to original sculptures and fresh cut flowers. I had the chance to meet one of the owners, Dawn, (who is pictured). The market is a “mercantile” market which means it’s a “general” store with a little bit of this and a little bit of that (as I’d describe it). I had the feeling that I was visiting from out of town and stopping in to purchase a keepsake.

The rice bowl is simply delicious. The customer service is superb! Spoke with one of the founders briefly I’m inspired by their story and the reason they opened this storefront. I wish them much success.

I visited Nourish & Bloom Market on Tuesday, 2/24. As soon as you walk in your are greeted in such a warm way. They explained to me how they work as far as paying, where I was able to find certain items and so on. I’m so happy that this business is in our area. They have the most professional and friendly staff on site. I know that they are going to be successful! Let’s support or local business and be kind on your reviews. If you have something that wasn’t to your liking or may have a suggestion, I know that the owners or management would love to hear from you in person. They’ve just opened and they are still putting things in place.
