Got the loaded bulgogi fries. Awesome. Great flavor, just the right amount of heat, large portion. I commented on how good it was several times.
This is a counter service place, not fancy. My only wish was that they had metal forks. The plastic fork couldn’t shovel this into my face fast enough without bending!
Wow the food here is so good! I had the Bibim-bop with bulgogi beef and the marinated beef was so tender! I got the Seoul Sauce on the side just in case but the Seoul Sauce is not spicy. The flavors of the dish are balanced perfectly, cold veggies and hot protein, the amount of food is filling!
My husband got the the two takkos and was disappointed that they were pretty plain and not much food. He was expecting a little more pizzazz from Korean tacos. I would not recommend getting the tacos. There should be at least 3 to feed an adult and they need more toppings and more adventurous toppings to really fit the expectation here. I am interested in trying the burrito or bowl to see if they are larger/better!
The sesame fries are addictive! They are sweet and the fry texture reminds me of tempura. We have already been back a second time, he got the Loaded Bulgogi Fries and was very satisfied with the amount of food and the flavors! Edited to add: I see another reviewer mentioned the beef chunks, the first beef bulgogi I got the meat was perfectly shredded and all of the lettuce on the tacos was shredded. The second time the beef was cubed and all of the lettuces on the table were not chopped. Maybe their knife broke, or they’re working out some kinks being a new restaurant. Definitely prefer the chopped version of both for ease of eating but still good tasting!
Our friends got the Gogi Nachos and said the queso was yummy. The kids chicken quesadilla was larger and better looking than I expected, it is a taco sized tortilla flat, with toppings and another flat one on top (not a folded burrito). The Korean fried chicken is sweet and not spicy, reminded me of sweet tempura fried chick fl a nuggets. My toddler liked them! She even ate the chipotle aioli without complaining that it was too spicy.
Love the outdoor seating here in the Avenue. The green chairs are so aesthetically pleasing! A couple of outdoor fans would be really nice.
Customer service was great. The chipotle ketchup is fun, similar to Whataburger’s spicy ketchup. They do have regular ketchup packets back by the drinks.
Great experience, will return! Glad they are finally open!
4.6 stars Bibimbap
4.0 stars gogi nacho with Fried chicken. Chips show awesome quality but lettuces are not shredded neither chicken. Not harmonious but each taste good.
5.0 stars for friendly staffs and cute ambience.
I only had the fried chicken and bulgogi tacos and fries. Fried chicken taco was good the sesame fries were better than good. The bulgogi meat is not bulgogi, cubed chunks of tough beef. Bulgogi is shaved thin marinated beef and super tender. I know it just opened. So I’ll give it another shot in a few weeks.
