Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q - Peachtree City

Willie Jewell’s catered our wedding and the food was excellent. The service was wonderful as well, from initial inquiry to booking to the day of and the servers.

Gigantic chicken wings. Reasonably priced food and outdoor seating! Haven't had the bbq yet but the wings are pretty good.

The sole reason for the 4 stars was the bbq. For it being our first visit, it was kinda rough. It was 5:30-6:00 on Memorial Day evening. The gal who waited on us was kind, knowledgeable and explained everything to us, as she knew we had never been there before. We wanted ribs in our 3 meat combos but they told us they were out. We substituted ribs for sausage. 15 minutes later they told us they were out of sausage. I said first no ribs, now no sausage?? The guy said we have ribs.

The overall communication was not there. The biggest issue was the gal who waited on us was taking orders at the register, waiting on tables, answering the phone, packing up to go orders and more. I saw her ask other employees to help her, but nobody did. They just kept yelling "Order Up!" This caused her to basically run around in circle trying to figure out what to do next. This girl just needed to have everyone else have her back. Instead she was drowning and causing customers to have to deal.

So a 4 star was pretty generous. The meat was awesome, but the fried green tomatoes were floury and nasty, and the greens were hard and raw. Mac and cheese was ice cold.

I'd give them a second chance. Hopefully it was just an off day. Oh by the way the smoked Turkey was off the hook delicious! Worth the stop just for that.

Our new favorite BBQ spot! Super friendly staff, excellent menu and the food is the best BBQ around! Ribs literally fell off the bone! Brisket, pulled pork and turkey was so tender and juicy! Banana pudding and bread pudding were delicious! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!!
