Wow - just love this place!

So lovely and quirky with totally delicious food.
All of the food is organic and a lot healthier than many of the local places to eat.

The staff are extremely friendly. Seating is outside and limited but there is also the option to take away. The menu is updated regularly

I just went to the sunflower Café for the first time to eat. I had tried some of their breads other places in town and knew I had to go for more. You might say their bread had me convicted! I got the full breakfast. It came with two eggs which I asked to be fried cooked over medium. They were locally sourced and cooked to perfection. I opted for the yogurt and berries and the grits and the sausage over the bacon I also got the sourdough bread. The girl working there recommended some funky fun breads which I’m sure I would’ve loved if I had been in a different mood but I really just wanted a really really good bread— just plain, amazing bread. She recommended the sourdough. The grits were also locally sourced—well, everything was— and absolutely delightful. You could taste the quality. the yogurt tasted like tart ice cream unbelievably creamy made from goat and sheep milk. The grits converted me to a grits lover when I used to hate them. I will be going back this week to stock up. I am originally from California. I haven’t had food in Rome yet thatcompared and I’ve even been to the most esteemed restaurants here. Hands down for anyone that loves and appreciates quality food, the Sunflour Bakery has the best food in Rome. You must try it.

A ray of sunshine in a sea of dull flavors, Sunflour Bakery has left an outstanding impression on me every time I’ve made the trek to its beautiful little paradise on the corner of North 5th Ave. & Avenue A.

From the green-filled outdoor seating area to the homelike aesthetics inside, every aspect of this establishment reflects the thoughtfulness and dedication that goes into the making of each of their offerings.

At most restaurants, I have a habit of finding one menu option I like and sticking to it, but I keep pushing myself to try different offerings from Sunflour Bakery, because I’m always impressed. Be it their homemade soup of the day, their gourmet salads, or one of their hearty sandwiches, my days are always better from having coming here.

Most of the time, I order over the phone and pickup my meal to go, and they’re always ready well before I arrive—but the few times I’ve been able to dine in, I’ve taken advantage of the warm weather and enjoyed the intimate outdoor seating complete with a lush greenscape.

Sunny and her small family of staff are excellent about making you feel welcome, and their kindness truly extends into every aspect of their business. They’ve done an excellent job at curating a Vegetarian and Vegan-friendly menu, and I particularly appreciated their ability to identify any cross-contamination that I would need to worry about as a strict Vegetarian.

My only complaint is that I wish Sunny could clone herself and her staff, so that the rest of Georgia didn’t have to miss out on this awesome experience! :-) Thanks for always taking care of me.

Sunflour Community Bakery is a gem!! Bookmarked as one of the best establishments I've visited.

Delicious variety of vegan (and non-vegan options). Locally sourced ingredients and wonderful, kind people who take pride in what they do. And the place itself is so cute and homey.

They're on a corner with street parallel parking and as of 2/26, have outdoor heated seating, take out, and curbside pickup and require masks indoors (yay!!!)

We had a vegan sandwich with all toppings except mustard, avocado toast, full breakfast, a non-vegan sandwich, vegan chili, and a few bakery items (including some delicious looking vegan apricot bars).

We all loved the food and are very excited to try the delicious looking pastries. My photos don't do them justice. Portions are great and prices inexpensive for the quality:)

If tofu is ever added to the menu, I will be over the moon!!

All in all, a wonderful, community-oriented bakery/cafe! I will visit everytime I'm in Rome and you should too ^_^ Thank you to everyone at Sunflour:)

I can see why this place has 5 stars! It is the cutest little shop in all of Rome and the most amazing staff! I am so glad we discovered their delicious treats at our favorite coffee shop down the street, and followed our food loving senses across the bridge! There is an entire shelf of gluten free pastries and I’ve tried them all! They are SO delicious! My favorite bakery south of Nashville 💜
