Best barbecue in Atlanta (I've tried them all too), best Roadhouse atmosphere! Pulled pork and ribs are the way to go, but it's all top notch!

While traveling back from FL we happened across Daddy D'z. Its actually more of an 8 out of 5 star. The only complaint we have is with the tempreture inside. The ac wasnt the best but the food and service more than made up for it. If you get past the appearance of the outside, you will be back. Ive already told friends how great it is and will gladly make the 5 hr drive to eat there again. Get the rib slab. It could easily feed 3.

It may look a little rough but don't let that fool you. This place has great people and great food on the inside. This is a quality BBQ place with killer cornbread. Don't think just go in sit down and eat.

Any time I get the chance to introduce new people to the best BBQ joint, I take them here. I have never had a bad meal since moving here 3 years ago. I tried their new potato salad recipe and it reminded me of my grammy's.

Watched the Samantha B show on the 'net and they were at DADDY D'z!! WHOA, great JOYNT! Some 20+ years ago, me and a buddy stopped by after one of the last Braves games in ATLANTA, late at night and he was about close. We ate like Kings... We yank out plastic and at the time he didn't take cards, we both stood there like. "Uhh...one of us can hang while the other heads to grab cash." The owner, asked if we lived in the neighborhood, which we did Grant Park/Decatur... and he told us it was cool if we came through the next day to pay him. We became loyal fans at that moment of Daddy D'z... Stopping through any chance we got, bringing friends and sharing the story of the vibe of that night.

After all these years and many miles away now (Japan) I miss that great BBQ and great vibe!!
