Eclair

Very unique experience. It’s a pop up restaurant only open on Saturdays with reservation and full payment when reserve. There are only 16 spots each night, with one time slot. You are dining with other strangers at the table, which turns out better than expected. We all hit it off very well, since we are all foodies with similar dinning experiences. Food were 6 course tasting menu, and they taste great!! Only problem we had was parking, it was very tough to find street parking around the area. Make sure you lock the car and don’t leave valuable in the car, not exactly a “safe” neighborhood.

The Eclair experience is like a cross between the exquisite set menu and drink pairings at Staplehouse and the interactive and communal dining style of Gunshow. Both the food and drinks were creative and delicious. Having the chef present the dishes and explain his choices is such a treat. The common table really added to the experience and made it feel like a dinner party. Alex Bolar is a great talent and we look forward to watching his career.
