Love it here. Great neighborhood spot. $20 carafes of house wine, and affordable dining. Wish we could bring the pup to the patio, but that's understandable that it isn't allowed.
The counter order-service hybrid is a bit odd. I guess it keeps more people employed though
Mellow place - good food. The Ginger/Coconut soup was great!! The Pasta was done with the pasta on the bottom and the sauces/entree on top - so the paste itself tasted very ordinary. Friendly staff????
Food was fantastic. Servers were on point. Lobster & Crab ravioli both fantastic. Little loud once packed but totally understandable considering how good the food was.
The food is delicious, the price point is awesome and the service always friendly. The bad reviews here IMHO come from entitled Buckhead snobs who think the entire world has to revolve around them; you can tell who they are because they all dress and talk exactly alike in person and they are extremely put out because the neighborhood is more diverse.
I've seen similar reviews on Next Door where the lone black female employee is targeted for some odd reason; she's always been extremely nice to us and very attentive. The food is always beyond delicious, there are plenty of waitstaff even when the store is nearly empty and we leave here sated. My children always beg to come here which should tell you something.
In general, I find the quality of the food at FIGO to be very good, especially considering the price. The ability to independently select pasta and sauce is really great for accommodating anyone's preference, especially for someone like me who is allergic to tomatoes. The selection of sauces is quite large, and olive oil sits on the table so you can dip your bread in it or add it to whatever you desire.
However, the service leaves much to be desired. Our group of three were the only customers in the entire restaurant, yet the servers was hardly attentive at all. They give very little bread at one time, and it often needs to be replaced. This is compounded with the lack of service and can quickly get annoying when people need drinks refilled, and the bread needs to be replaced shortly after. You'll need to wait quite awhile to have all your needs met at the same time. There's always something you'll be waiting on.
Overall, the food was great, the selection was great, but the level of attentiveness was poor.
