I love the set up. It's cute & homely. The mac & cheese & the mac & cheese bites were really good. I also ordered the lemon pepper honey chicken, skillet fried corn, & greens. I did not enjoy. The chicken was hardly seasoned, the corn was decent, & the greens had a sweet taste & they were kind of tough. I really want to like this place so I am probably going to go back again to try the brunch. I gave 3 stars because it wasn't a horrible experience the food just wasn't what I expected.

We saw this restaurant on food network and decided to try it while we were in town. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing
I had the spinach lasagna and my husband had the salmon. Both dishes were expertly made well proportioned. I'm so glad that I saw this place on food network. The building is very small and as a result we were told that it would be a 1 and a half wait. We decided to get our food to go. They do not take cash payments as well.

I tried the lemon pepper honey fried chicken, roasted brussel sprouts and fried skillet corn. The chicken was so-so, as the drizzle was on the plate not my chicken. I tasted the collard green lasagna — great - as was the collard green risotto. I’m not sure that I’ll visit again. It was not busy but food to table took a long time. As for the cleanliness, there’s a lot to desire. The young ladies working might want to sit in the booths and observe the wall grime, dust on the wall sconce, and food underneath the table. My visit was a Saturday about 1215 pm, according to the list business hours , Greens and Gravy opened at 11am. Also, May I suggest cleaning outside of the restaurant‘s front door and a fly stick to catch the flies. Aesthetics carry just as much weight as the quality of the food and the service. The ladies were personable and knowledgeable but need direction regarding the front of the house.

The food is actually pretty decent and the portions are nice. The measure of a soul food restaurant is its collards and Mac n cheese. This place did not miss the mark... Especially the skillet Mac n cheese. The chicken was good also. The restaurant is Uber small so seating will be a challenge. Also the service leaves A LOT to be desired.... I mean they are nice but that service is slower than molasses. I'm not sure if it was just while I was there but the AC didn't work... You know soul food will make you sweat... And lord I was sweating

This joint serves the best fried chicken I've ever had. I have no doubt about this. The mac 'n' cheese is great, too (as is the whipped sweet potato dish... and the Brussels sprouts one). I can't yet attest to the greatness of much else, here. Keep it simple. Get the chicken. There's not a whole lot of seating. Try to go by during off-peak hours.
