Lean Draft House

When I asked folks about the food here, the responses have invariably been lukewarm. I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the tacos (grouper, shrimp & especially the cauliflower) were...they came with rice & blackbeans too. Cool, laid back atmosphere.

The staff was really attentive, polite, and helpful. The food was delicious. I got the theee tacos with black beans and rice combo. Best black beans and rice I've had, but I wasn't a big fan of the philly cheesesteak taco. They do have a nice happy hour taco and beer menu though. The guacamole was a 7/10 for me, especially with the price though. The decor was nice as well. I plan to return.

It's conveniently located along the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail, right across from Gordon White Park. The restaurant/bar facility is very nice, and bigger than I expected. There's a good selection of beer, and a pleasing variety of tasty taco offerings, among other things. My mild disappointment stems from the value proposition. The tacos, priced nicely enough at four bucks apiece, are very small. I understand there's a weekly special on Tuesdays, with yet-tinier versions of the tacos - for two bucks each. I'm likely to see if there's better value to be found in other parts of the food menu, next time.

Today was my first visit because I am new to the neighborhood. However, I will say that I will definitely return. My friend and I were immediately greeted upon entrance. Our bartender was friendly with great recommendations for new customers. Service was prompt and food was delicious.

I like Lean Draft House and am glad they’re in the neighborhood because they offer late night dining, unlike most places around here. I love that they have Trivia on Thursday nights! Their food is good, and I’ve had good luck with service since they’ve found their rhythm.
