McCray's Tavern Midtown

I stopped in after a concert for a late night to go order. The food I had was excellent (bbq/Thai chili wings & a pretzel) -- highly recommend the maple butter on the pretzel.

The hostess and bartender were very pleasant and the food was out with minimal waiting. As someone who grew up with a restauranteur for a mother, I was impressed at the service and, most importantly, food quality. I'll definitely be returning.

It's the servers really. Our server was just on point and his recommendation of the bread pudding for desert was genius. Not a 5 star because I reserve that for out of this world experiences but certainly it's at least a 4.5 stars if I were allowed to do so.

The food was super good! For lunch my team and I (9 people) ordered a bunch of appetizers and had to take our main courses back because we didn't realize how much food you get with the appetizers. Calamari= on point! Nachos= super yum! Fried Okra= delish! I had the grilled shrimp tacos and they were so good. The service was great too! The vibe was lovely and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely going back!

I love McCray's! Great atmosphere and the self serve bloody Mary bar on the weekend is pretty delish. I've never eaten anything bad there. The service is always friendly and inviting. Love going in when Alexis is working. She is the absolute best.

These onion rings are hands down the best onion rings I've ever had in my life! Its not just one measly ring of onion. No! They utilized the fact onions have layers and so use multiple layers of onions and batter them perfectly. My only complaint is that I'm from out of town so I may not get these every week! ???? Order these pieces of delectable perfection.
