MetroFresh Uptown

First the food is amazingly fresh and appetizing. The portion size was perfect. The service staff were friendly and attentive. I was equally impressed with the wonderful use of the space and the modern design and esthetics of the physical space. The food is healthy and delicious. The space is modern and clean and open.

I really like the food here. It is fresh, homemade, flavorful, and overall delicious - especially the soups. The portions sizes are good for the price. This is a place where you can eat and not feel guilty about it. Combine that with the other options in this part of Midtown and it's a great choice.

With that said, the reason I can't give 5 stars is that the service model is confusing. There are seemingly 2 lines and it's hard to tell which one to go to. The ordering options for lunch, such as the pick 2 special, aren't clearly spelled out. Often times I've ordered the special only to realize I was paying a la carte at the register. While everyone is super friendly, they often take more than a few minutes to even acknowledge that you are in line.
