Authentic soul food. Busy location. Limited parking. Pricey, but worth it. Small variety but anything selected will most likely be delicious. Dined there multiple times, too many to count.
Ima tell you from time I stepped foot in there I had a pleasant experience. Everyone greeted and was helpful. Not one had a screw face or frown which you find among all black staff. The food was great and flavorful. 5star
I used to love it for breakfast or a veggie plate. The older ladies are usually pretty sweet. It's been hit or miss lately so I haven't been going as much over the past year.
I can only speak on the breakfast, since that's the only thing I get here, but that is delicious. Cheese eggs, chicken sausage and breakfast potatoes with a little bit of gravy. Sometimes pancakes (which are made fresh) for my toddler and he eats them up EVERY time. Oh, and the pancakes are HUGE, if you're a pancake person.
The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is that for some reason, the lids on the smaller cups never seem to stay on securely.
Hidden gem. I love their daily lunch special. You get baked chicken with cornbread dressing (I love cornbread dressing) plus 2 sides for $6.50. It's a pretty great deal. The food is good. I feel like I'm cheating on Busy Bee, but I kind of like Q Time more. The cabbage is great, the greens are flavorful and not salty. The mashed sweet potato souffle tastes like pie filling in a pan. The black eyed peas were good. I will continue to go back probably a couple times a week, especially since they are so close. ????
