I know they just opened a couple weeks ago but how do you run out of your signature food (pork) at 7pm on a Saturday night? Got the brisket which was good but the experience really leaves something to be desired.
Good food but a little spicy and pricey.
The food was very tasty
Loved it. Even tasted a lil better than the one in Charleston. Will be back for sure. Because it’s newly opened right now they don’t have any beer for sale.
I was so excited to see that Rodney Scott had made his way to Atlanta…especially after seeing him on Netflix a year or so ago!
I ordered the Brisket sandwich w/coleslaw and my friend ordered the 1lb Rib plate with Mac n Cheese and Collard greens….we also ordered a bag of skins.
You order and pay once you enter the restaurant which is not a big deal until you realize you won’t have a dedicated waiter/waitress. The food came out within 30-35 mins s/n it was a bit of a crowd but not too bad! Our food was lukewarm at best…since there is no wait service…you basically would have to flag down an employee with the RS T-shirt on to address your issue. Neither one of us was in the mood to complain…lol! My brisket and the ribs were seasoned well, but the sides not so much! Our bag of skins never came so I was refunded without any issues.
Overall, I probably won’t return because of the lack of personal service….no one stopped by to ask how we were or if everything was ok…and no I don’t need to be coddled but to me that’s just common sense and hospitality. Also, the food was lukewarm and under-seasoned! Oh…I forgot to mention their sauces…the best one imo was the Kathy sauce…the other two (Rodney and Other sauce) are vinegar based and I didn’t really like them but that’s my personal preference.
