So I was a little concerned about the parking lot. But once we got inside of the building the atmosphere was cute and quaint! The server was very nice. We came in around 9:30-9:45. There was a decent crowd. There were these paintings on the wall of different characters/celebrities. Some were easy to guess, others were definitely a challenge. My only downside was that the menu online is not current and I already knew what I wanted before I walked in only to find out they no longer had it on the menu. So other than that, I ordered the special which was a chicken and sausage gumbo. It was pretty tasty. Too many scallions though. But hey, I'm not a big onion fan. My friend had the Chili which was on the menu and she said it was really good. It was a good late night spot, just beware of the parking lot. It has a lot of potholes and it's not well lit.
My bro-in-law wanted to grab some dessert and took my wife and me here. Go to a pub for dessert? Well, this pub has some really good Mexican Flan. It was very creamy and not so eggy as some restaurant flans can be. We also had a funnel cake that was good.
The environment was very chill and relaxing. Music wasn't too loud where you can't hear the company you're with. My group and me noticed that this seemed like the spot for a date night as a lot of dates kept walking in.
For what it's worth, from what I can see at the bar they also have a pretty good variety of whiskey.
Good place. Online menu notes seasonality, but the quite limited version in reality was a surprise. The house old fashioned was quite good. The atmosphere was great when the music was not turned up but unnecessarily loud when turned up. Overall a good place for a bite and booze.
This is an awesome spot! Such a cool place on the inside, lots of beer on draft, good food, I highly recommend you check it out. I have been on many wonderful dates here. The tables are so cool! And there is this little hidden outside area in the back, if it's not cold or rainy make sure you check it out!
Bookstore is the perfect hole in the wall bar. The food is actually really good. The bar has a back and front patio when it's nice outside. The interior is lined with books and action figures. The owner can be found popping in often and is a great guy. This is one of my favorite haunts in Atlanta.
