The Southern Gentleman

My husband and I visited The Southern Gentleman to celebrate our anniversary. We were there right before dinner so it was quiet but the atmosphere was beautiful. We had a few appetizers but the outstanding ones to mention would be the Catfish Bite (one per person recommended) and the Mac n Cheese. Allison, our server, was wonderful, attentive and gave brilliant recommendations from both menus. I can’t say enough about the drink I had- Nick’s Garden- highly recommend if you like gin. The drink is presented with dry flowers on top and the taste leaves you wanting more.

I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day (day after actually, we both worked late in Friday) to try their brunch. We were a little early for our 10am reservation, but they told us to pick any seat we liked. Overall the food was great, I had the pimento omelette and she had the French toast with a side of chicken sausage. We wanted to try the bread basket but they were sold out. We got Johnny cakes instead and those were just two small pancakes for $6. Those were disappointing hence the 4 star review, but overall we were pleased and will probably go back again when it warms up outside to sit on their patio.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Southern Gentleman. Alex was able to accommodate my party of 15 in a private room with less than an hour notice. The food was delicious and the service provided by Shannon was exceptional. She was polite, attentive and professional. I will definitely be back. Thank you Alex and Shannon!

Lovely atmosphere. Menu has decent selection of food options that are not very heavy. This is a perfect spot for a date ! Very glad that there is an indoor Peking available.
