The Vortex Bar & Grill

I’m convinced this is the best place to get a hamburger in the world. The food is amazing. The decor is interesting. The atmosphere is great. They have a large beer selection with plenty of local options. Staff is always friendly. There’s nothing I don’t like about The Vortex. I go every time I’m in ATL, sometimes twice!

Great atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. My party of three each had a different burger from the menu and we were all very satisfied. I also highly recommend the Dixie Wrecked Taters appetizer. We had it made with tots and it was AMAZING! And I was pleasantly surprised by the check being as reasonable as it was. The waitress was very attentive and our food was received more quickly than I expected. An overall wonderful experience.

The Vortex is an Atlanta favorite. The service is sometimes spotty, but that’s to be expected here. Overall the food comes out exactly as described, with remarkable consistency, every time. If you are looking for a wide variety of well priced burgers - look no further.

The first and only time I visited Vortex midtown was in February 2016. The place was pretty packed. I got a cheeseburger, and it was pretty good. If you do a search for "Best burger in Atlanta", Vortex will probably be on the list.

Was it the best burger in Atlanta? I don't know. I'd have to try every burger in Atlanta to answer that. Was it good? Yes. Was it the best burger I ever had? No.

The Vortex is a classic Atlanta edgy bar and restaurant. It serves bar food with an edge. The burgers are huge with a variety of toppings. You can eat every thing from chili to killer tomato soup. The food is consistently good.
The atmosphere is what makes the vortex. A little aggressive punk with a touch of decadence. Party hard with righteous intent
