Wood’s Chapel BBQ

This is such a great addition to Summer Hill/Grant Park. The interior is so comfortable and spacious. The food is delicious- great sides and reasonable drink prices. Nice selections of draft & bottled beers and the cocktails sounded yummy. Visited today during brunch rush and although there was quite a line at first, it moved quickly and the food came out amazingly fast. After finishing our meal my husband and I checked out the back room and were pleased to find a few games. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

My first time experience was a great one. The salmon dip was off the chain. Smoked salmon was perfect. Mac & cheese, collards are delicious. Atmosphere was nice and airy. Customer service pleasant. I would definitely go back.

I so wanted to love this place. I think my expectations were too high and I came away a little disappointed. My wife had the brisket and it was good but it didn't have the smoke that I expected. I found it a little dry. I ordered the combo plate with pulled pork and ribs. The pork was good and my ribs were fine but nothing blew me away. I agree with some other recommendations that the portions are pretty small. The sides were good. The service was also just ok. I will try again in the future once they are a little more established but I won't be rushing in for another visit.

3.5. Cute interior. Yummy sides. Just okay meat. Was excited to try whole hog plate, as this Eastern NC transplant has yet to find it done properly here in GA. But sadly, it was only okay, and I def wouldn't order again. We enjoyed the sides (mac, potato salad, beans), chill vibe, and proximity other eateries and bars.

Super excited Wood’s is now open! Tons of seating available both indoor and out.

The food was all amazing. Loved the brisket and smoked turkey. The cornbread was delicious! Also highly recommend the creamed corn and the pork beans & burnt ends. The potato salad was good but then only food item we weren’t raving about.

Next time hoping for some pies and smoked salmon!
