Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

Fantastic, fantastic! What more can I say? The food is wonderful and the staff I'd absolutely great. The best Jamaican food I've had since I left New York City.

I finally made my way to Golden Krust and I desperately wanted to love this place but couldn’t. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch and the chicken was soooo DRY. Sahara dry. Dry as a Popeye’s biscuit. I could tell it was seasoned well but the moisture deficiency killed it. The only redeeming grace was the customer service. Both gentlemen behind the counter were very nice and customer service definitely holds weight in my book. I’ll likely give them another try since I live in the area. Maybe I picked a bad time ????????‍♀️

To get a fair sample, I ordered the curry chicken, oxtails and jerk wings. The portion sizes were downright enormous! Staff was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious! The chicken was flavorful and moist. The oxtails were melt in your mouth tender. The wings were bursting with flavor. I’ll definitely be returning!

Bought a few patties and they were fresh and delicious! As someone who just moved out here from New York, I was so happy! The people were pleasant and welcoming. I’m hoping that the rest of their food will be just as good!

The food tastes great, the oxtail with rice and peas and some sides had great flavoring. My only complaint is the texture of the rice. It was a bit on the crunchy side. I went back on a separate day and got a plate of curry goat and white rice. The rice was still a bit on the crunchy side. I'll be sure to go back another day and change my review if this changes.
