Shawarma Press - Johns Creek

Came here with the family for lunch and food exceeded expectations. Will definitely be back!! 9 out of 10 times I prefer the beef option over chicken but this is the 1 out 10 I liked the chicken wrap better than the beef. That's not to say the beef wasn't good, I thought it was fantastic!!

There was a bit of an issue where our food got spilled but they were awesome about it. Great service, nice folks behind the counter.

The french fries were delicious and crispy. The pickles were tangy, sour, and very crunchy. The chicken Shawarma was very flavorful. All of the food was made to order. I absolutely love the chili sauce; it tastes like a tangier version of Sriracha.

I like the look of the wrap, crispy outside. Sauces and pickles are good but the chicken was extremely dry. Fries were crispy and good. I got chicken shawarma wrap with garlic and spicy sauce, with FF and a coke for 16.50 plus 3.20 tip so right at 20$. Didn’t feel like the value was there. If the chicken had been moist and more flavorful I would have been happy. Service was good atmosphere was good. Maybe it’s slow and they used chicken that was a little older for my wrap.

Writing a review for this restaurant was agaun hard for me just like writing review for Chick n Cone. The difficulty is that I am not a big shawarma fan (at least not what’s sold in non middle eastern countries). Shawarma in middle east hits differently. Coming back to topic since i am not a big fan even though its best shawarma in town, it might not impress me. So taste wise it was ok for me and only a one time experience. But the service these guys had was amazing, the staff is friendly and nice and I noticed that either manager or pwner was keeping everything clean by himself. Which shows how much he takes care of his business. So in short if you are a shawarma fan yes this could be a good place for you, just not for me.

Today, I found out a new Shawarma restaurant opened less then 5 minutes away from me. So naturally after reviewing their Google reviews and pictures. My family and I decided to check them out. I placed my order online and went to pick everything up. Upon arrival I was greeted and handed my order with no issues. Got back home, opened the containers, and to my surprise the 2 chicken over rice dishes hardly had any food in them. They didn't look anything close to the other review photos that were posted. The chicken Shawarma was a little dry, and everything seemed to be a bit too greasy for me. I did enjoy the garlic sauce and Taziki. The overall taste of the food was "meh" when stacked against other Shawarma places in the area. Compared to the other reviews and pictures, tonight must have been an off night. Or dine-in vs take-out order quality is vastly different.

Update:
The management here is truly the best. They reached out to sincerely make things right for me and my family. They honestly care about the quality of their food and service to each customer. For this reason, I will change my review from 1 star to 3 stars.
