Restaurant is small inside but luckily we did not have to wait to be seated. The inside is clean and simply decorated, the right amount for the space. The service was exactly what we needed not overly friendly but helpful and fast. We weren't sure what we wanted so we took some time putting in our order but the server was patient, we even asked what dishes others had on there table and she looked over and pointed it out on our menu. The food came out pretty fast considering they were busy. We got Broccoli chicken and Salt and Pepper Shrimp. The food was really good, not at all greasy or watery. Broccoli was tender, not limp or undercooked. The dishes were a good size. We shared and had enough to take home for another serving. My son loved it, I really enjoyed it as well. We will definitely be returning, we want to try the dry pot.
Taste is superb here. This is my all time favorite now whenever I would like to taste Chinese food. They have something different food which is served in pot which is totally different and I am going to try it next time.
Welcoming staffs who explains and understands your need. Thank you guys and keep the great food cooking all the time.
Great taste and decent price. I won't recommend Pork belly Gua Bao. The buns, I believe, are frozen-stored and steamed, not home-made. Stewed Pork Belly with Tofu and Fish Fillet Dry Pots are delicious. Keep in mind to ask for extra chilly to the dry pot. Entrees come with rice. They will charge you for adding more rice.
Edited: I was asked by a friend about the small bowl of rice with seasoned boil egg. It is Minced Pork rice. This one is pretty mediocre and does not seem to be worth the money. By the way, the seating is a little bit crowded to me.
I was introduced to Hunan Garden from my boyfriend when I was visiting from NY and I absolutely loved everything this restaurant had to offer. I've ordered both takeout and ate there in person and the food was remarkable each and every time. The chefs really put quality into the food they make for customers, and I appreciate each and every effort.
My favorite thing to order from the restaurant is their 'General Tao' which is out of this world, I've never had anything like it in all my experiences with this cuisine. The tangy yet sweetness of the sauce and the crunchiness of the chicken make this a meal to remember and I get it every time I visit! If you are also into Beef and Broccoli, I'd also recommend getting that as it is so flavorful.
I usually stick to what I like but you really can't go wrong eating at Hunan Garden, I'd recommend to anyone visiting or in the area, you won't want to pass this up! :)
