Had a memorable experience tonight thanks to my generous birthday email offer and the wonderful service at the Roswell location. I'm a huge fan of the stellar craft cocktails offered at Marlowe's and have been working my way through the offerings for several months now. Imagine the unbridled joy as, tonight, I not only got to check the last drink from my list but was treated to a table side visit from Rick who generously shared the history of many of the drinks and educated us on what makes Marlowe's sour mix so amazing. I will now literally use any excuse that presents itself to come to Marlowe's. (That smoked trout dip is a reason unto itself). Looking forward to the new menu!
I must say that the burgers at Marlow's Tavern could become a staple, they are tasty. I ate there two days in a row, the first day the burger Royale (they did have to cook my burger a little longer though)... the second day, enjoying firecracker shrimp, truffle fries with Parmesan, and fish tacos. The prices were moderate and the food above average! I shall return.
Gorgonzola sauce and croutons for Caesar salad are made in house. Delicious. Few places, if any, offer better food at this price. Service was great and food arrived quickly. Crab cake was all crab meat, chicken wings were deliciously glazed in spicy light honey mustard sauce, probably also made in house. Burger was cooked medium-well instead of medium, still juicy, and everything else was so impressive that it was easy to forgive. My family and I have been to other Marlow's Tavern locations and those other places were not as good as this one. Simple but very well prepared food from my experience and very reasonably priced! Well done.
Food is always great. This particular visit I had to reorder an appetizer three times because our server continue to forget to put it in. All in all a good visit and we will definitely be back. Just a minor frustration.
My visit to this restaurant was the first and I can say it will certainly not be the last! Our waiter was absolutely fabulous and his recommendations we're spot on. I would recommend the shrimp and grits, yum!
This restaurant has a great neighborhood vibe and the night I was there dining, I saw the young and the old enjoying the food, drinks and atmosphere.
