Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Our to-go order was ready super fast. The greens are great. The Mac n cheese was great. Chicken has a nice spicy flavor kick and is very crispy. Awesome bang for your buck!

Friend chicken white meat, tenders, baked beans, okra, slaw and mac were all VERY good. Fried pickles are big Spears. Seasoning in the flournis one point. Service was so slow. I see they were busy but we never got water refills till the end of meal and someone at our table had to wait forever to order another beer.

I've only had the chicken to go, and, tonight, the greens are salty. They just need to pour out the salty water & boil again in fresh water to remedy. But the greens & the mac-n- cheese hit the spot for some good soul food. They are very friendly & polite (open the door for me) when i have been there. I'm saving a star for when I eat in. I have complete faith that the service is awesome because they are so good with their to-go customers

A friend and I ate here before a concert at Chastain. Delicious crispy fried chicken and sides! The dark meat chicken I had was flavorful, nicely spicy, and moist. The greens and coleslaw were fabulous. My friend had chicken tenders and she said the meat was moist and delicious. The tenders are not spicy, but all other fried chicken is spicy. She had fried okra and mac & cheese as her sides. I tried them and they were great too! Very clean, well run, and a good health score. Lots of people came in while we were there. Fast service, would eat here again!!
