North River Tavern

Great local spot to sit and have a brew. Smoking inside is allowed and there are certain sections that allow cigars. Patrons at the bar were playing Keno and it seemed like everyone was familiar with the bartender, Jackie. The beer selection had a little of everything and they all seemed to be good quality. I didn't personally order food but saw a few people who did. It looked great and the wait staff was very attentive to their tables. Will definitely be coming back to try the menu!

The food was fantastic; they have very unique burgers. I had a maple and bbq burger and my friend had what they called the "white walker," which had a white bbq sauce. He said it was awesome. They had an expansive list of foreign and domestic beers, which made it difficult to choose. I started with their "brown bear" which was a darker craft beer and ended with a Blue Moon. The service was mediocre; the waitress seemed impatient and like she really didn't want to be there. I can forgive lapses in service, as I have not been perfect in my service roles, but at least try. Other than that, I enjoyed the place.

Good "bar food" choices and reasonable prices. Portions are generous! Plenty of seating options even during lunch rush. A little slow to initially offer drinks but once acknowledged service was good/fast including multiple drink refills

Great casual meal for lunch or dinner. The avocado salsa is delicious! I love dipping the black bean burger and fries in it. The sides and sandwiches are all great as well as terrific service. I've also enjoyed the Cuban sandwich too. The restaurant is old but clean. Be careful walking in and out because I fell once on a broken part of the sidewalk. Will return.
