Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q

I've eaten here on nearly every trip north and have yet to be disappointed. The pulled pork sandwich with fries is always fresh with smoky richness and the meat is extremely tender. The fries were fresh and crispy and even the sweet tea was better than many. The staff were friendly and engaging and that's always a big plus to anyone, but especially to travelers. Thus has become a regular "gotta stop there" and I see a ton of BBQ in my future!

Decent amount of food for the price. Meat was just so-so. Mine had alot of fat which I don't like, but the flavor overall was good. Food had no salt on it. Sauces were good. Neat atmosphere.

Overall, it was good. We had a variety of items including pulled pork, smoked turkey, chicken, and sausage. All the meats were good. For sides, we had greens, Brunswick stew, sweet potato mash, and Cole slaw. They were tasty, too. For dessert, we had bread pudding and banana pudding. We ate all of both of those, and we wanted more. They have grape lemonade, which is lemonade with grape juice. It sounds kind of weird, but it was very, very tasty.

Absolutely amazing food. We got pulled pork and deep fried corn. We weren't gonna stop, but we are so glad we did! Also GRAPE Lemonade is a thing evidently. Its pretty sweet but really good if you like grape. I'll be stopping here every time I pass now, can't wait to try more things
