Dorothy's Cocktail & Oyster Bar

We were lucky enough to dine at Dorothy's on St. Simon's Island, Georgia recently.

We were warmly greeted. Our drinks came quickly thanks to Jamie and the rest of the team. The appetizers were top notch. The meal was fantastic (and they took time to advise us about items to make sure there were no issues with food allergies).

The overall atmosphere, food, and drinks were absolutely great, but I have to say it is the quality of service that will have us coming back anytime we are in the area.

We were beyond impressed with Dorothy's! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating (got us seated in the dining room on a VERY busy Saturday night, despite a reservation mistake on my end). The ambiance is fabulous. Feels like you've stumbled into a secret jungle fairy-tale. We started with photo-worthy cocktails and tried a little of just about everything on the menu. It was all perfection. It's a great spot for a dress-up date night and we can't wait to go back!

We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in was fun and comfortable. The decor was very well done. You felt as if you were social but still dining intimately. The waitstaff and management were wonderful. The roasted oysters were delicious, the ceviche on point, and the steak seasoned well. The wine paired very well. We will definitely be back regularly.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Super cute decor and amazing patio. The food was equally amazing! Appreciated the attention to detail from the general manager Jamie and our server Pierce! Don’t pass up the side of fried rice or the chocolate chip cookie. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip! :)

First visit to Dorothy's last evening and I have already booked another reservation. The location and ambiance met all expectations at this needed upscale restaurant for this lovely island we're lucky enough to call home! The chef's menu is spectacular with some absolutely delicious bites and entree choices. The cocktails are another specialty bringing back those great all time favorites and then ... there are the new ones I couldn't resist trying out. Actually, I also tried a glass of recommended red wine ... and now have a new favorite. Give them a test run, you will not regret it. An exceptionally great addition to the island.
