We will be back here for sure! Wife, a big fan of crab bisque, states this is the best she has had in several years. Shrimp fritters were delicious. Folks at table next to us stated the crab cakes were wonderful. Staff was friendly and efficient, Terri was great. Short wait before being seated
The restaurant has a diner like atmosphere with tables and booths. The booth was a little to vertical for me but was not uncomfortable. One downside is the bathrooms accommodate only one person at a time. Not good if you have an emergency.
The pot roast was tender and juicy with a wonderful flavor.
The corn was firm but not hard with a slightly sweet flavor.
The pumpkin bread was tasty and firm. It had a smooth texture and did not crumble. It was not as moist as I like but it was not dry. The beef tips and rice had a great taste and texture. It was juicy and paired well with the rice and gravy. The chicken has good flavor but to dry and firm for me.
The loaded baked potato was excellent. Just the right texture and firmness. The spinach was a little runny and mushy for my taste. The jalapeño bread has a good flavor and texture with the right amount of firmness without being crumbly. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed lunch with my family.
Great place! Portions are big, tastes delicious!! Awesome variety of fresh seafood entrees. Very reasonable prices, especially if you are from a big city ;)
No option for vegetarians though, only sides.
And their breads deserve an honorable mention! Soooo good, fresh, still warm and very tasty!
Great place with local food and a ton of it. The portions are huge and the food is fresh tasty and priced right. The crab cakes and the she-crab soup are awesome. Also had fried shrimp with a grilled tuna steak that was to die for. We went 2 times on a 4 day trip. Definitely worth stopping in.
Great home cooking, brews, full bar! If you want the fried okra get there early as they ran out by 6:30 pm. Nice area to walk after a full meal. Great crab cakes and shrimp & grits.
