Ok. So I am picky. I grew up with some ridiculously good cooks in my family. This place here is LEGIT!!! The greens were on point. The candied yams, ribs and smoked chicken were all good. I tasted my husband’s peach cobbler and my daughter’s brisket and man was it delicious! They have chicken and waffles and everything in between to satisfy your southern soul food appetites! We will definitely be back. I live in Ball Ground in it was absolutely worth the trip into Buford! Y’all come on down to this sweet spot!
Looking for some southern deliciousness in Gwinnett? This place is hitting! The fried chicken, mac n cheese, yams, okra were really good. A tad salty for my personal tastes but I would definitely recommend.
Southern hospitality! My coworker and I walked in to a very comfortable friendly environment! The two ladies we encountered were so nice and welcoming! OK so for the food!! It's absolutely delish!! 💯 Peach cobbler and green beans/potatoes were my favorite!
Amazing food and wonderful folks. Hands down the BEST chicken and waffles i have had in my life. They also serve other southern food. We tried their brisket sandwich which is amazing. Definitely would come back if I'm nearby. And to quote my friend who lives in Milton "It was so good I would drive back out to Buford just for it".
Met my homeboy for breakfast and can honestly say we were not disappointed. The entire experience was much more than I expected.
It's a Black family-owned eatery that specializes in chicken and waffles. The owners recently opened their doors, just over 10 weeks ago as of this review. They are very friendly and take time to interact with their customers. They explained the menu thoroughly and I'd keep a couple things in mind: Their focus is lunch so the breakfast menu is more limited; all food is made to order so it's as fresh as possible and can take up to 25 minutes to arrive. They offer online ordering so you have the option to time your meal accordingly.
We opted for the chicken and waffles with eggs (soft scramble with cheese) and it was scrumptious. I had the three piece (leg, wing, and thigh) while my friend had the tenders. The waffles were fluffy on the inside and thick. Strawberries with a delicious syrup on top. The eggs were amazing as the scrambled was soft as promised and the cheese was mixed in perfectly.
Chicken was delectable: great seasoning, crispy skin, fresh out the frier, meat juicy and tender. Fantastic!
Both had fresh lemonade which hit the spot for the beverage.
The facility is immaculate and you can tell they care about making a good first impression. Their choice of decor is tasteful without being overstimulating.
Just before we left, they brought out a to go box of rib tips for us to try for free! They were smokey and tender. The secret BBQ sauce was delicious.
We plan to bring our families soon and will update my review then.
Highly recommend stopping by and hopefully your experience will be as wonderful as ours.
