The Baking Grounds Bakery Cafe

I used to get last minute birthday cakes from the grocery store, until I found this place last year and purchased the caramel cake for a birthday. We all loved it so I got another cake this week for a birthday. This time I purchased the oreo cookie cake. I believe the chocolate cake is next on the list. I like that they have a decent selection of decorative fresh cakes stocked in the bakery for a quick pick up. The cakes are not too sweet or overloaded with icing but they are not dry. I have not tried the breakfast or lunch yet.

I have known this family for many years and they are the only “real” Bakery that I know of! This is a handmade from scratch bakery with such a variety of sweets, breads, specialty items and some of the best food you will ever eat! They are the #1 bakery and eatery in the South! By the way....Now they have a location in Illinois so they are also #1 in the North! You have to try them if you haven’t already!!

This place is great. We sat outside on a Saturday morning and had breakfast. The food, service and atmosphere were all well above average. We also took home a few things from the bakery. The breakfast prices were good but the bakery prices were high. That being said you can see that they put a lot of time and effort into making their baked goods look great as well as taste great.

I love the staff at The Baking Grounds! They are always so helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything you need is taken care of. Let's talk about the food and yummies at The Baking Grounds. I have never had anything bad there. I love their cakes and the Buckeyes! I purchase cookies and other things for friends and they always tell me they are awesome! If you need a place for a quick breakfast or lunch check them out as they have daily specials.

This place is awesome! If I could give it 6 Stars I would! It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the employees are kind and helpful, and the selection of baked goods is heavenly! I know I'm using a lot of exclamation points, but it is that good! I'm so glad I stumbled on this place today for coffee and dessert, the hardest part was deciding what to order. I also liked that I didn't feel pressured or rushed; I had a book to read while I inhaled my sweet treat and I made sure to bring some home to the family.
