Cool Vietnamese concept place. I much prefer their duck over chicken but both were alright. Love their noodle dishes. The broth was perfect and yummy. They give you tons of vegetables so that was a plus.
Their rice seems to be from the cheap Costco aisle, not the best choice for an Asian restaurant. Also, don't drink the broth that comes with the rice. Just like other reviews, it tastes full of MSG.
Cool place to visit if you get the noodles and salads.
Solid 4 star. Crowded place & service can be a bit slow, but the servers were trying their best. Chicken is the star, white meat or dark meat was great. Broth for pho, duck noodle, or congee lacked flavor or aromatics. Portions were adequate. If you like great tasting chicken, skin or no skin, this is the place. Young chicken eggs & sugar cane juice were excellent.
Unique, authentic Vietnamese food. This is my first time dining in and second time eating ( had takeout the previous). The chicken is perfectly cooked - moist and authentic Vietnamese chicken flavor with yellow skin, hands down you cannot make this dish with chicken bought at American grocery stores, even organic chicken can't compare in taste. For those who complain, know before you order, to get the perfect tightness on the chicken skin they need to blanch in cold water after cooking. Pro tip ask to skip the giblets if you're not adventurous. I had congee, great comfort food and perfect amount of flavor. Sugarcane was on point. My husband immediately recognized as sugarcane from Vietnam and he was correct. I love the cabbage and banana blossom salad. If you're not allergic to peanuts it's a must try and hands down beats any crispy chicken salad out there. Thanks for bringing more authentic Vietnamese flavors mainstream...so tired of all we are known for is banh mi and pho. Hopefully they expand down south because we are in need of better restaurants down here!
I got lucky I came in around lunch time. They were busy but I got seated right away within 5 minutes. Ordered a rice dish and udon noodles dish. Both were delicious. Food came out quickly. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Place is nicely decorated. Definitely coming back soon.
Com Ga Houston by far is one of my unforgettable restaurant. I drove for an hour long and it worth every second of it.
This place is well decorated, clean, and fresh. Staffs are amazing as they would assist every way it’s possible and patiently explain everything on the menu for you.
I ordered the CG6 on the first page of the menu which was the chicken dish that already mingled with mixture of veggies and I’d never forget to order some young egg yolks soup on the side. The foods were delicious and everything tasted just right especially the chicken were moist and savory.
This place definitely is once a week visiting for me.
