Chilango Taco Bar

Being a Mexican native I like to try new places and see if they come close to food in Mexico. I tried two Asada tacos and two Carnitas tacos. For those who are Mexican natives it’s weird not seeing the small tortillas. These are big tortillas so gauge your appetite. The meats where very well seasoned and cooked just right. The salsas both green and red where very good. They where served with frijoles rancheros on the side. Some states in Mexico add frijoles to their tacos. The place was very clean the decorations are very artsy typical Mexican colorful. The music is not your typical Mexican mariachi or Banda music so it might be welcoming to people who don’t like that music. They where playing 80s 90s Spanish rock. We also ordered Esquite which is steamed corn in a bowl with sour cream queso fresco chile powder salt and lime. Also a traditional Mexican dish. It was amazing I understand that some places use canned stuff but to be honest I wasn’t able to taste de difference if they did or didn’t. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a good meal. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They have a small selection of Mexican beer if you are into them. Horchata and Jamaica is what we drank and they where both good. For those who might care about religious things they do have statues of the Santa muerte nothing to be weirded about I believe we all have our beliefs and I respect them just like I respect anyone. If your are ever near by stop by and give them a chance I believe you won’t be disappointed.

Very efficient service and good food! The two servers were very nice and efficient. They bring the food out quickly. I dont agree with the add gratuity because I use to think it was up to the custumer to decided when and how to give tips. Between the tips and tax I pay around $15.00...
