Awesomeness. The best PHO soup in Ga
One of my favorite spots.. everything tastes fresh, and great customer service. Try the sauteed lemongrass chicken and coconut smoothie. So delish!
Visited here for the first time today. The fresh spring rolls with shrimp were very good, the pho tai was alright. As some others mentioned, the broth was very bland (tasted pretty much like water) and lacked flavor. I had to add some salt and sriracha to mine which helped. The culantro/bean sprouts/basil/jalapeno were very minimal - I am used to getting more herbs and spices with my pho to add to the flavor. I love some great pho, but this wasn't anything special. The server was kind...I did have to get up and go to the counter to find her because she was seated at the back speaking to another employee. She refilled my water once, but never asked how things were. She was friendly at the register, though. I love Saigon Cafe off Pleasant Hill, so I think I will stay true to them. Glad I gave this place a chance, though. Was mediocre at best.
The meat and pho consistency is great. However, the pho soup here is a little on the dull side. The beef soup seem kinda lacks the flavor and punch of the typical spices in a pho. Seems muted and diluted. Garnish plate has all the appropriate herbs but seems lacking in volume. Would love to have some more herbs. To make it 4 stars improve flavor strength, add more to the amount of herb, and a jar of sauté chillies and or pickled jalapenos. To get 5 stars, add a side dish of onion in apple cider vinegar, and actually use fresh ingredients for your smoothies. I love support local business so please take this as suggestion and not as an insult.
Easy in and out. Love the food. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. I do miss the old black plastic chop sticks, the smaller diameter wooden ones aren't as easy to use with arthritis.
