OMG! This place is wonderful. Chris the bartender makes and excellent Irish Mule. The service is great. We had a party of 15 and was quickly accommodated. Everyone like their food. I had the Gouda Chicken. Portion was huge. It was delish and half the table sampled it. Give this place a try. Really good.

Everything we had was DELICIOUS! Poutine fries, tomahawk pork chop, sirloin, Guinness bangers and mash and the Brussels sprouts plus we all shared a chocolate mousse that was over the top amazing! Matthew was excellent and the manager couldn't have been any nicer she's wonderful!

I ate at this newly opened steakhouse on a trip out of town, and I am so glad I did. The ambiance was upscale and inviting. The servers were friendly, suggestive, attentive and professional. But the food was beyond the descriptions on the menu. The kale salad in their house sesame dressing was perfect. I had the pork chop that melted in my mouth, was full of flavor seasoned all the way through, which rarely is true with pork chops. The mushroom risotto was the best I’ve ever had, creamy, mushroom-y and the texture just right. I have tried many risottos, and it was definitely the best.I am curious to the bio of the chef running the kitchen there, because my food and my friend’s (she had a medium-rare ribeye and smashed potato) were cooked to perfection. As a former restaurant owner, I notice many things and this steakhouse is a true winner. To the owner(s), congratulations, your restaurant is a gem on the Square. I will be sure to stop back every time I pass through.

If you wear your sunglasses inside, you may run into a wall! You might think from the signage outside that it's a bright place, but it's a very dark, black, candlelit interior that was unexpected. It took a little while for eyes to adjust to the darkness inside the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty quiet while we were there.

The service was really good. They asked our preference for a table or a booth and sat us accordingly. Our waitress was very friendly and adequately attentive. She did a great job in bringing us things exactly as we requested. She was one of the best aspects of our meal at the restaurant!

The menu has quite a variety of interesting looking dishes. We opted first to order the Reuben rolls, which are like egg rolls made with the ingredients of a Reuben sandwich. The appetizer was $9, and we were surprised when it came with only two Reuben rolls. We thought that was a bit overpriced for what you get. We cut up the Reuben rolls and each tried some of them. Three out of three of us agree, they were okay. We enjoyed them alright, but probably wouldn't order them again. We would opt to try one of the other interesting looking appetizers.

For our meals, one person ordered the Guinness infused bangers, and the other two of us ordered Gorgonzola Burgers.

The bangers came on a bed of mashed potatoes covered with gravy. The person who ordered those said they were just lukewarm, not hot. He had onion rings as his side, and those were sitting in a pool of gravy because the gravy ran all over the plate. He wasn't too excited about having his onion rings swimming in gravy! However, he said the flavor of the food was good and he enjoyed it well enough to eat it all.

The two of us who had the Gorgonzola Burgers both felt like our burgers were way too dry. My husband speculated that they might be using a very lean cut of meat, but it made for a dry Burger. Both of us felt like our burgers were a little overcooked, but we don't think that is the total reason that the meat was so dry. We kind of laughed, the worst thing about our Burgers was the burgers!

Both of us agreed that there is so much Gorgonzola, you can't really taste the bacon, which was unexpected. Overall we both felt like the flavor of the burger was pretty good with the toppings that were used. It is definitely a GORGONZOLA Burger though!

Another note about the burgers, unfortunately the bun made the burger all the more dry. It might be better with a lighter, less dense, moist kind of bun.

I ordered my burger without a bun, and they brought a little cup of the sauce they use on the side. The problem was, the quantity of sauce was just a mere dab. You can see in the photo of the burger without the bun, the sauce cup hardly has any sauce in it. The sauce tasted great, but there was hardly enough of it to do anybody any good!

We all chose onion rings for our sides. They were good, but not great. They are your typical beer battered type of onion rings with the Fluffy coating. The aioli sauce we had to dip them in was pretty good.

Overall, we all agreed that the food tasted alright, but it was expensive. Therefore, we did not feel like the quality of our burgers, and in the case of the Reuben rolls, the quantity of food matched the price.

Since T.Ray's is very new right now, and the flavor of the food was decent, we all agreed we might return and give it another try sometime in the future.
