“I’m from Chicago. Went here for the first time and loved everything we ate. Italian beefs were exactly like they are made in Chicago. My kids couldn’t wait to go back a 2nd time. If your looking for authentic Chicago style food then this is definitely the spot to go to. The staff is also very friendly and have speedy service. “Thank you MRS CORDELL for the great customer service. We had fries that were seasoned and nicely made, a flavorful soft and flaky beef patty and a jerk chicken meal. This was my first time having the jerk sauce verses the grill. It was very tasteful and the sauce went very well with the fresh cabbage and carrots. Also the plantains had a nice sweet soft taste. The atmosphere was relaxing and the decor was interesting to look at while awaiting the food. Good prices and great food!”

“Would give a 5 because I love this location!! But when you have your employees outside taking orders when the heat index is 106 degrees, it’s not a good look. They swap out every 30 minutes and they’re probably hydrating, but even five minutes in it is draining. I am sure the employees won’t complain because they need their jobs. We won’t mind ordering into the speaker and waiting a few extra minutes for the employees to stay inside and keep cool:)”

But I was driving pass and remembered seeing this commercial about fish tacos so I pulled over and made the order. And OH MY GOD, those tacos were off the chart. First of all, they were big tacos with nice portions of fish. And I'm thinking, please don't let me down. Took a bite and could have sworn I heard the gates of Heaven open. I mean, these were no ordinary tacos. These were great tacos! Without going any further into what it takes to make great tacos I'll just encourage you to stop by and order one. Captain D's is a nice spot. Always clean and the crew is professional. You may have to wait a few minutes for your food because they cook it fresh. But it's well worth the wait. And you can eat well on a budget here, plus they always have coupons!”
