Los Portales Mexican Grill

I have come here on and off the last few years. I like the food and the texas margaritas, but the service could be way better. The last 2 times I dined here, service issues and cleanliness were not good. I asked for the password for internet from two waitress and host and got I dont know. Well the proper thing to do is get it, but my request went in one ear and out the other. I asked if they could put tennis on tv. I got I dont know. Many tables had plates of food on them from lunch time that werent cleared. I sat in a booth that was filthy and they didnt care to clean the table top. There is never a manager on duty and if you dont speak mexican they struggle to understand english. The workers work hard but dont seem to provide answers to the simple questions or provide basic customer service. I also asked why the tv wasnt working on a recent visit..I dont know. They should be lucky I am giving a 3 rating.

Truly a hidden gem. The restaurant was clean and cozy, the staff friendly, and the food tasty and affordable. The menu had all the traditional fare as well as some unique dishes I've never seen before. The service was excellent; attentive but not intrusive. Both the food and service were much better than I've had at places considerably more expensive. Look forward to exploring the menu more!

Food was good and the house margaritas were stronk. They definitely could use another server or two. (the hostess was also our server)

This is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in have ever been to. It's well worth my 35-45 min drive

Food was pretty good with good portions but it did take a long time to get refills for our party of 9 and took a long time to get our checks. Overall, not a bad experience
