Sorry - we couldn’t help but to dig in before taking a pic of the full rack of ribs we ordered! These ribs were soooo good! I’m so glad they weren’t dry/tasteless. The greens were well-seasoned & weren’t mushy like a lot of other places. But my favorite side so far is the potato salad. I’ll definitely become a regular here!
I had to stop by this place after getting off from work, I saw the grill smoking and the aroma was amazing???????? So I walked in and was greet with a smile and a Welcome to Smokey Jack's the gentleman behind the counter was very nice. I ordered the smoked wings the gentleman even let me try one and man it was good so I knew I made a great choice, I also ordered the half rack of ribs with two sides mac& cheese and collard greens along with a slice of carrot cake, When I arrived home I was ready to dive in the ribs were juicy and tender the barbeque sauce was every thing the collard greens were well seasoned but the mac& cheese was dry. The cakes are homemade and it was delicious soft and moist even to the last bite!! ????????????????????????????????
Erica... her personality alone deserves 5-stars, add another 10 for the food and what you have is genuinely great customer service, a warm, welcoming environment and finger licking amazing barbecue. I love that it's family owned and when you walk through the door, you feel like family too. Even my husband who's extremely picky when it comes to barbecue loves Smokey Jack's. We've tried a variety of menu items and enjoyed them all.
Quite a character taking orders, lots of personality and not shy about offering recommendations. Super cool to see an employee that proud of their product. The food was pretty good - the meats were super tender and flavorful, but the sides were a little soggy and tired. Portions were good, but the atmosphere left something to be desired. Pretty homespun and eclectic in the not-quite-charming way. But if you want solid BBQ, the meats were worth the stop!
Great BBQ place! It's small and local and the food is great. I tried the pork, very flavorful, and the ribs were meaty and tender. Get the 3 meat platter, big enough for 2. The desert pudding was awesome as well. Feels like eating at moms house, so friendly.
