I went there to get Colombian food. The previous owners said the new owner will keep the Colombian menu and add Caribbean menu. I ordered pollo a la plancha "grilled chicken," they have the same lady cooking the food, at least the colombian food. The chicken was a bit saltier for my taste, it was accompanied with chicken soup (nice flavor), fried plantains (very dry), white rice (nicely done), and salad (it was ok). The girl who took my order was nice and all but has no idea about colombian food. I asked her questions and she had no clue, she asked if I wanted the juice that comes with the lunch special, so I asked her is it agua de panela con limon? "hardened sugar cane juice with lemon" -- typical of Colombia and served in Colombian restaurants as an option for the lunch special, anyway, the girl made a face that implied that she had no idea but say yes. When I got home I drank it and it tasted like some type of mix that you add with water--- nothing like I was expecting.
The restaurant is nice, has great ambience but the service is not very good in the area of menu knowledge and the type of food offered, the girl was nice. The owner should hire bilingual server/hostess that can handle both menus and the mixed clientele. They also need to market their restaurant so people know about them. I would go back to try something new and see how it goes.
Great food, nice Caribbean vibe and atmosphere. The owner is awesome and very friendly.
The minute I walked in I was in love???? Finally some real authentic haitian food it was awesome felt like home. The server she was fantastic. I wish I can add another star.
Great customer service soon as we stepped in. Authentic Haitian food. Everyone was welcoming. I had the legume with white rice. Tasted like my momma's cooking. I felt at home. My friend had the stewed goat with the white rice. She loved it. The meat in both dishes were very tender. The seasoning was on point. I've been trying to find some good haitian food since I've moved to GA! Everything was also fresh.
Do y’all make lalo too?
