City Barbeque

I decided to give this place a try for lunch. Two words. Totally impressed. This is a real deal bbq joint. I got the ribs and smoke/fried wings. The wings were amazing!!! All the sides I tried were on point which was surprising because typically the sides are where bbq places miss the mark. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. The corn pudding is a must try.

The staff was friendly, the establishment was clean. I would come again and recommend.

Corporate read my 3 star review and got in touch with me and definitely made me feel as though they truly valued my opinion and sent me an ecard to come back and give them another try. Boy, am I glad that I did! Got the family pack with 4 buns, 1lb pulled pork, 4 cornbread (sweet but delicious), 1 pint baked beans with brisket, 1 pint 3 cheese mac n cheese and sweet sauce. As you can see in the picture, all the containers were full, and the pulled pork was so moist and delicious! It was a great deal at $26.99! I am so thankful that they read their reviews and care enough to make things right. I'll definitely be back because this is the type of establishment that I want to spend my money at! I also downloaded the app and received $5 off and after picking up my order a coupon for a free side!

This was the 3 star review...Got the pick 2 meats chopped pork and brisket both were over done with hunks of fat but the other parts were very good! Got 3 sides to save a dollar. They were Mac n cheese (very good), corn pudding (favorite) and baked beans eh oh and the meat came with a dried up piece of I guess toast maybe the end piece? Anyhow the total was $30 and some change! Way over priced! Might try the sandwich with a side for $10 if I go back.

From when we walked into the door to when we received our food service was excellent. Shaq helped us and got me setup with the rewards. The food was so good and it was a lot of food too! Got 2 kids meals, tenders and pulled pork (kid ate entire sandwich he is a picky eater) I got the pick 2 brisket and ribs fried okra and Mac and cheese. And hubby got the brisket sandwich. Pew h cobbler was dang good! We will be coming back!

Oh. My. We stopped here for lunch yesterday. The food was OUTSTANDING! The atmosphere was great, the staff was very polite & friendly.

I got the pulled pork & brisket. Wife got pork & chicken. Her green beans & corn pudding sides were great. My fries taste like fresh cut potatoes & my Mac n cheese had a delicious cheesy crust on top.

The pork was tender & juicy, not dried out. The brisket had a perfect blend of bark & tender meat but wasn't too fatty. Overall, deliciously flavored meat!

Now for the sauce... What a great compliment to already great food! The Swine Wine is a thin vinegar based sauce that unlocks a whole new level of flavor when added to pork. The Brush Fire is a traditional thicker sauce but has a nice little kick to it. Went great with everything!

I'm one of those that would much rather smoke my own meats at home instead of taking a chance out at a bbq place. Well I'm glad I found City Barbecue because, as I told my wife, I can have delicious BBQ without having to cook any of it!

If I had to find a downside I'd say it's the fact they serve Pepsi instead of Coke. However we had their sweet tea mixed with a little Lemonade & it was perfect. Both are fresh brewed & not out of the soda fountain!
